Subsea Solutions Attends World Drilling Conference in Amsterdam

During the first week of March 2013 Subsea Solutions attended the SPE IADC World Drilling Conference and Exhibition in Amsterdam

Subsea Solutions was an exhibitor at the conference which was jointly promoted by The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC).

The event provided an opportunity for engineers from various companies including ExxonMobil, Saudi-Aramco, Shell, Noble Energy, Halliburton, Schlumberger, Weatherford, and National Oilwell Varco to visit our booth and view our state-of-the-art 3D training models of subsea equipment.

3D Models on Display

The scale, cutaway models allow students to “look inside” the components and view the inner working details in full color. The 3D models were all “printed” in-house on 3d Printing Solutions’ ZCorp Z450 and Z650 3D Printers.

The models are used extensively in our SUBSEA 100 and SUBSEA 101 training classes.

3d Printing Solutions, a subsidiary of Subsea Solutions, presented two original 3D Models with the IADC Logo to Stephen Colville- IADC President & CEO, and to Mark Denkowski -Director of Accreditation Programs.

Among the highlights of the exhibition were the large number of visitors to our stand. More than 150 visitors stopped by and were intrigued by the high-tech 3d models on display.

Many of the visitors were from third party providers  who voiced interest in sending their professionals to customized courses at our Training Center in Houston. Others asked for more details about having our instructors provide on-site training classes at their headquarters.

The most common comment from the patrons who visited our booth: “What a revolutionary idea to fast forward the training industry ".
