Subsea Solutions, was recently contracted to conduct an acceptance survey of a drillship for an offshore deepwater well in Peru, an area of the world that to date has seen very little offshore exploration.
During the four week voyage from the rig’s point of origin to the drilling location, all well control equipment maintenance, inspection and testing were completed by the rig’s technical staff and witnessed by our experienced surveyor, ensuring that everything was ready to commence drilling operations once the vessel was cleared by authorities.
After arriving at the well location, the drillship completed the exploratory well within the scheduled period of 30 days without any incidents or problems with the well control equipment. The resulting data gathered from the well will provide the client with important information for assessing and determining any future developments of the exploration block.
