Subsea Well-Control Equipment Training Center in Brazil

Subsea Solutions’ expansion of their Brazil operations with the opening of their new subsea well-control equipment training center in Barra da Tijuca, celebrates with their one-year anniversary on June 30, 2016.

Utilizing the same training materials and methodology as the Subsea Solutions Houston Training Center, the classes in Brazil are open to active employees of drilling contractor and operators. Courses are taught in both English and Portuguese, and include entry level, as well as advanced courses in subsea well-control equipment.

This new training center in Brazil allows Brazil-based oil and gas personnel local access to the same high-quality training available to their USA-based counterparts.

Subsea Solutions’ state-of-the-art training centers offer a modern and effective approach to learning. Offering a unique multi-sensory approach utilizing a 20' wide digital theater quality rear-projection Cyviz Bizwall, 3D graphics, animations, and physical 3D models, courses are developed in-house by a team of experienced technicians. This stimulating learning experience is designed to capture the student's interest and to achieve maximum retention of the material presented.

The Subsea 100 – Oil and Gas Well-Control Equipment Primer course is a one-day primer that provides an overview of blowout preventer (BOP) components and control systems. This course is designed for personnel who are not familiar with subsea equipment, but may have a need for a basic working knowledge of these components in their daily activities. Examples would be drilling engineers, logistics, purchasing, and new hires.

The Subsea 101: An Introduction to Well-Control Equipment course is a three-day course designed for oil and gas personnel with rig experience. It provides a detailed look into the internal workings of subsea BOP components and control systems; and compares the differences between various equipment manufacturers.

Subsea 102: An Introduction to BOP MUX Control Systems is a three-day course providing a solid overview of the Subsea MUX systems used on offshore drilling vessels. This class covers subsea equipment components, signal flow pathways and logic. Students have the opportunity to troubleshoot simulated faults in the system utilizing a full scale touch screen simulator. Subsea 101 is a recommended prerequisite for taking this course.

Subsea Solutions can customize courseware to meet specific customer needs, including a tailored training package from the course material offered, and company-private group classes. . All classes are IADC-accredited.
